You Don’t Mess With Israel! By Donna Wasson

Geesh! Some so-called Christians these days get on my last nerve. I made the mistake of reading the excellent article, So Jesus Lived in Occupied Territory, by Jan Markell, on the Rapture Ready website and got so disgusted I wanted to stick a pencil in somebody! Up until that point, I was blissfully unaware that an international conference called, Christ at the Checkpoint even existed. Blech!

Apparently this symposium, held in Bethlehem of all places, features some of the ‘intellectually elite Christian thinkers of our time.’ This yearly conference started in 2010 and its overall theme is, (hold your nose!) “Hope in the Midst of Conflict.”

Their aim is to, “provide an opportunity for Evangelical Christians to prayerfully seek proper awareness of issues of peace, justice and reconciliation in the context of the realities on the ground in the Palestinian territories.” What a load…

Hmmm, let me think about this for a minute…bad ‘ol Israel is living on ‘Palestinian’ land and is being ugly to them because they won’t pack up their belongings and move. If I remember correctly, no one was living on that barren, weed infested, scorpion sanctuary before Israel returned and miraculously became a country, as the Bible promised, in one day. After they moved in, all of a sudden, the WHOLE Middle East loses its collective mind and just HAS to have that tiny little plot of territory!

Now, be sure you don’t look at a world map to see the THOUSANDS of miles of open land these ‘Palestinians’ could settle on. Don’t pay attention to the fact that they are Arabs whose kinsmen refuse to provide them a place to live, say in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, etc...No sirree! They have to live there, on that one small stretch of land those cursed Jews have ‘stolen.’

By the way, there are no such people as “Palestinians.” Never has been. You ever heard anyone speak ‘Palestinian?’ Of course not, because they are Arabs! Look it up.

"Burning Down The Shack"

"The Shack" is a feel-good novel that took the book industry by storm three years ago and has remained on the best-sellers list for more than 100 straight weeks – with many of the sales in Christian bookstores and with many churches spreading the book around virally and even conducting Bible studies around it. Now comes "Burning Down 'The Shack,'" a hard-hitting, no-holds-barred biblical critique of the book by someone who knew author Paul Young well and understands what's behind its strange theology. New Christianity ?????

Satanic attempts at re-establishing, or re-making Christianity abound today. The truth is everybody searches for God. They’re searching for something but they know not what. This leaves a big empty hole in their soul that needs to be filled. This “New Christianity” is there to convince the searcher that their club is the best. Actually it’s Satan’s club and he wants you to become a permanent member.
Then again, many erroneously believe that they’ve found God apart from Jesus Christ. This “New Christianity” is just one of the many vehicles Satan is using today to draw people away from the Savior of the world. People occasionally make the erroneous statement “I found God”; God draws us to His Son not the other way around. Only through the Son can we have a relationship with the Father.
Whether you sit around on your circled couches believing that self realization, prayer mantras, prayer labyrinths, yoga, contemplative spirituality, lighting candles or sitting in the dark contemplating your navel will bring you closer to God, or if you follow one of the numerous other false religions of this world, what must be considered is that any teaching which leads folks away from the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and who He really is, conforms perfectly to Satan’s agenda.
Whether it’s Islam, Mormonism, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Buddhism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, New Age (which really isn’t new at all), Contemplative Spirituality, Emerging Church or any other false religion that diminishes what Christ accomplished on the cross, you can be assured they all are leading their adherents to Hell. Satan is the father of all lies and he is the initiator and leader of every false religion on this planet. He’s drawing multitudes down that “broad way” that leads to destruction.
“If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.” 2 John 1:10, 11. John was quite adamant about these false doctrines. When he addresses his second epistle to the elect lady, who many believe to be Mary the mother of Jesus, he admonishes her and all who are with her to heed his warning, even to the exclusion of inviting them into their homes. Alas, if folks would only pay attention to the scriptures many would not have been deceived.

HERMENEUTICS

HERMENEUTICS
Taken form Christian-with-a-view,blogspot.com
Hermeneutics is the science of interpretation of the Scriptures. Isolating verses of Scripture to prove a point of doctrine is common practice, but is it a valid scientific approach to understanding God's Word?

Let us examine this approach when dealing with the question " WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED"?

John 3:16 For God so loved world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Is that verse true? Yes, but does it include all the requirements for salvation?

Mark 16:16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

Is that verse true? Yes, but does it include all the requirements for salvation?

Romans 10:9-10 That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him fromthe dead, you will be saved.

Is that verse true? Yes, but does it include all the requirements for salvation?

John 3:5 Jesus answered, I tell you the truth, unless a man isborn of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom ofGod.

Is that verse true? Yes, but is that the only two things that can keep you from entering the kingdom of God?

Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

Is that verse true? Yes, but does it include all the requirements for salvation?

Romans 6:4-5 We were therefore buried with him throughbaptism into death in order that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. 5 If we have been united with him in his death, we will certainly also be united with him in his resurrection.

Is that verse true? Yes, but does it include all the requirements for salvation?

1 Peter 3:21 and this water symbolizes baptism that nowsaves you--not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by theresurrection of Jesus Christ.

Is that verse true? Yes, but does it include all the requirements for salvation?

Acts 22:16 And now what are you waiting for? get up, bebaptized and wash away your sins, calling on his name."

Is that verse true? Yes, but does it include all the requirements for salvation?

Galatians 3:27 for all of you who were baptized into Christhave clothed yourselves with Christ.

Is that verse true? Yes, but does it include all the requirements for salvation?

Acts 16:30-31 He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" 31 They replied, "Believe in theLord Jesus, and you will be saved--you and your household."

Is that verse true? Yes, but does it include all the requirements for salvation?

Proper hermeneutics requires us to consider all Scripture concerning the subject: WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?

Virtually everyone who is a believer in Jesus Christ will admit the Lord's church was born on the day of Pentecost. If you study Acts chapter 2 you can see all the requirements and elements of salvation were presented on that day: grace, faith, repentance, baptism (immersion in water) calling on the name of the Lord, the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:31-32 Seeing what was ahead, he spoke of theresurrection of the Christ, that he was not abandoned to the grave, nor did his body decay. 32 God has raised this Jesus to life , and we are all witnesses of the fact.

Acts 2:36 Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus , whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ."

Acts 2:37-38......"Brothers what shall we do?" 38 Peter replied, Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in thename of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Which part of God's plan of salvation do you want to leave out, Faith, Confessing Christ before men, Repentance, or Immersion in water?

PREDESTINATION ?

PREDESTINATION?
Did God foreordain those who will receive salvation and all others to be condemned for eternity in hell?

John 3:16" For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Does not whoever include everyone?

1 Timothy 2:3-4 This is good, and pleases God our savior, 4 who wants all men to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth.

Would "all men" include everyone?

1 John 2:1-2......Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. 2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins and not only ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

The whole world seems to include everyone .

To believe that God foreordained all who would be saved or lost, is not only contrary to Scripture, but lacks reason and logic.
.

To take the position of "PREDESTINATION" would mean men are not responsible for the sins and evil they commit. Would not their sins be God's FAULT?

God offers salvation to all. Peter tell us how to accept that offer Acts 2:36-47 faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, immersion in water, then your sins are forgiven, you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, and the Lord adds you to his church.

ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED?

Tuesday, January 12, 2010
"ONCE SAVED ALWAYS SAVED" ?

John Calvin advocated the doctrine "Perseverance of the Saints", commonly referred to as "once saved always saved." This teaching is embraced by many today, but is it supported by Scripture?

Galatians 5:4 You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.

You cannot fall from a tree unless you are in the tree. You cannot fall from grace unless you are in grace!

Luke 8:13 Those on the rock are the ones who receive the word with joy when they hear it , but they have no root. They believe for a while , but in the time of testing they fall away.

Was Jesus confused when he said "they fall away?"

Jude 6:6 And the angels who did not keep their position of authority, but abandoned their own home-these he has kept in darkness , bound with everlasting chains for judgment on the great day.

If angels can fall, why is it so difficult to believe man can fall from grace?

Hebrews 6:4-6 It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, 5 who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the coming age. 6 if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance.....

Why would the writer of Hebrews warn of "apostasy", if it was an impossibility?

The question remains whose word do you believe, John Calvin's word or the WORD OF GOD?

Jesus told the scribes in Matthew 23:23 they ought to tithe.
23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Answer is False: Jesus said "not to leave the other (tithe) undone"

Myth:Purgatory is a Place of Redemption After Death?

The idea that we have to suffer for our sins after death in Purgatory is contrary to what the Bible says about salvation.
1 John 2:2
1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

This is a Myth. The Answer: False
